Ellen Soffer lives and works in Shreveport. Her solo shows include Nexus/Foundation for Today’s Art, Philadelphia; The Bradley Art Gallery, Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and the Turner Art Center, Centenary College, Shreveport.

 

Her work has been featured in group shows including the Alexandria Museum of Art; Huntsville Museum of Art; Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia; Galveston Art Center, Galveston, Texas; 1708 East Main, Richmond, Virginia; New York University; Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami and the Hall/Barnett Gallery, New Orleans.

 

Ellen Soffer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1957.  She attended Philadelphia College of Art (B.F.A.), Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, Maine and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (M.F.A.)
